YOU CAN HELP THE WORKING CHILDREN TO DECIDE THEIR FUTURE

The Concerned for Working Children (CWC) is a non-governmental organisation which works with local governments, the community and working children themselves to implement viable, comprehensive and appropriate solutions to the problem of child labour.

CWC has many programmes to help children help themselves and protect them from harmful, both physically and emotionally, working conditions.  For example, CWC has constituted Children's Councils which work in tandem with the local administration to tackle problems at the grassroots level.  Our Regional Resource Centre in Udipi District trains children in various vocations even as they are provided appropriately modified education.  Details of our projects can be had at the various sections of our website.

In 1997, CWC spent Rs. 66 each per month on 7,000 children, inclusive of administrative costs.

Our children are the men and women of the future.  It is upto us to ensure that they have a meaningful present and a future. Ideally, a child should not be forced to work for a living.  Help us realise that ideal.  It takes little to help a child go a long way.

Any sum you donate, either as a periodic amount or in lump sum, will help secure a future for a working child.  Donations may be sent either by cash/cheque/DD to:
