Invitation to the Children's Consultation
Dear Friends,
Warm Greetings from CWC!
We hope all of
you had a pleasant and eventful winter break. During the previous
meeting held
in November last year to discuss about strategies to take forward the
anti -
child marriage campaign, one of the strongest suggestions put forth by
the
participants was to involve children as active partners in the
campaign. A
collective decision was taken to hold a children's consultation in mid-
January
to discuss the issue, recount the successes and challenges that the
Campaign
has faced so far and brainstorm on the steps forward.
We propose a
consultation on 18th January, Wednesday at Ashirvaad from 10
a.m.
till 1 p.m. followed by lunch. We invite both, children and
accompanying
adults, to this consultation. We strongly urge that the children who
attend
this consultation be given the opportunity to hold preparatory
discussions with
their peers and bring to the consultation a compiled set of
suggestions/thoughts of their group about the campaign. Please
